The normal use and maintenance of lawn mowers can prolong its service life. The basic composition, daily use and maintenance of lawn mowers are now introduced as follows:
1, the composition of lawn mower
It is composed of engine (or electric motor), housing, blades, wheels, control armrests and other components.
2. Classification of lawn mowers
(1) According to power, it can be divided into: gasoline-fueled engine lawn mower, electric lawn mower powered by electricity, and unpowered silent lawn mower.
(2) According to the walking mode during mowing, it can be divided into self-propelled, non-self-propelled hand-push and mount.
(3) According to the grass collecting method when mowing, it can be divided into: grass bag type and side row type.
(4) According to the number of blades, it can be divided into single blade type, double blade type and combined blade type.
(5) According to the blade cutting method, it can be divided into: hob type and rotary knife type. Generally commonly used are engine type, grass bag type, single-pole type and rotary knife type;
3. Use of lawn mower
Before each use, the debris in the mowing area must be removed. Check the engine oil level, gasoline, air filter, tightness of screws, tightness and sharpness of blades. For the first time or in a cold engine state, close the damper first, press the fuel injector more than three times, hit the throttle to the maximum, and then open the damper after starting. When mowing the grass, if the grass is too long, it should be cut in stages, and only one-third of the total length of the grass can be cut at a time. The purpose is to avoid yellowing of the grass after the mowing; if the grass area is too steep, it should be cut along the slope. Grass; if the slope exceeds 30 degrees, it is best not to use the lawn mower; if the lawn area is too large, the continuous working time of the lawn mower should not exceed four hours.
4. The protection of the lawn mower after use.
First, clean it all: Second, check all the screws, oil surface, air filter, blades for defects, etc., and again, for the service life of the lawn mower, Strengthen the inspection or replacement of vulnerable parts. Periodic maintenance is more important.
(1) Maintenance of engine oil
Before using the lawn mower, check the oil level to see if it is in the middle of the oil dipstick. The oil should be changed once in the first 5 hours, the oil should be changed once in the next 10 hours, and then the oil should be changed frequently according to the situation. When changing the oil, the engine should be in a warm state so that the old oil can be completely replaced. If the engine oil is too much, it will appear: difficult to start, or the black smoke is particularly large, or the power is small (too much carbon deposit in the cylinder, small spark plug gap), or the engine heat is too large. If the engine oil is too little, it will happen: the engine gear is loud or damaged, or the plug ring is worn out or damaged, or a pull-out phenomenon occurs, causing serious damage to the engine. Therefore, the maintenance of the oil is very important.
(2) Maintenance of the air filter element Before and after each use
check whether it is dirty or not, and wash frequently. If it is too dirty, it will cause the engine to be difficult to start, black smoke, and low power.
(3) Carburetor and oil circuit maintenance
Every time gasoline is added, it should be filtered by a filter and cannot be placed in the fuel tank for a long time. When the carburetor is cleaned, a special cleaning agent for the carburetor should be used. The cleaning cycle depends on the degree of dirtiness of the carburetor. If the carburetor fails, the engine cannot be started or the engine is turned off immediately after starting, it should be cleaned.
5. Common troubleshooting
(1) The engine cannot be started
Reasons: no gasoline; spark plug wiring is off; throttle switch is not in the starting position; oil circuit is blocked; ignition is misplaced; spark plug is damaged. Remedy: add gasoline; connect the spark plug wire; turn the extraction door switch to the maximum: clean the extraction circuit; correct the ignition timing; replace the new spark plug.
(2) The engine is not running smoothly
Reasons: The throttle is at its maximum and the air valve is open; the spark plug wire is loose; water and dirt enter the fuel system; the air filter is too dirty; the carburetor is not adjusted properly; the engine screw is loose; the engine crankshaft is bent. Remedy: Lower the throttle switch; reconnect the spark plug outer line to ensure that it is firmly connected; clean the fuel tank and refill the clean fuel; clean or replace the air filter; re-condition the carburetor; check the engine screw after flameout; correct the crankshaft or Replace the crankshaft.
(3) The engine cannot be stalled
Reasons: the throttle cable is not installed in the engine position; the throttle cable is broken; the throttle movement is not sensitive; the flameout line cannot be contacted: troubleshooting method: reinstall the throttle line; re-change the throttle line; drip a small amount of engine oil; check the flameout line or replace it.
(4) The row of grass is not smooth
Reasons: the engine speed is too low; the grass is blocking the grass outlet; the grass humidity is too high; the grass is too high and too dense; the blades are not sharp. Remedy: Increase the throttle: remove the accumulated grass in the lawnmower; cut the lawn after it has water to dry; divide it into two or three cuts, each time 1/3 of the length of the cut; cut the grass after sharpening the blade.
